Yellow and blueback fusilier, Caesio teres
Yellow and blueback fusilier, Caesio teres
The Yellow and Blueback Fusilier has a brilliant yellow tail, upper back and posterior region of the dorsal fin. The rest of the body is bright blue above and white below. The pectoral, pelvic and anal fins are white. The upper base of the pectoral fin is black.
Fairly popular overseas being colourful, active, easy to feed, easy to collect and relatively hardy. Also, since they're very common in the wild, less pressure on wild populations. They feed on zooplankton in large midwater groups and forming large schools
An amazing shoaling fish that should only be consider for a large tank 10' or 12' long as they can get fairly large with an average size around 10"and may eat small fish once they reach full size.
