The Teak Clownfish, Amphiprion melanopus

The Teak, Red or Cinnamon clownfish will be red or dull reddish brown with black on the body, pelvic and anal fins. The dorsal and pectoral fins are reddish orange and the tailfin is yellow. They will have either a blue or white head bar. A diet consisting of plankton, copepods and algae will allow the red clown to feed predominately.

A 30 gallon or larger aquarium that has no other clownfish is desirable. It is semi-aggressive towards other clownfish and passive tank mates. An anemone host such as Bubbletip (Entacmaea quadricolor) or Leathery (Heteractis crispa) is preferred, but not required.

The Cinnamon Clownfish diet consists of meaty items as well as herbivore preparations.
