Striped Fang Blenny, Meiacanthus grammistes (tank bred)

Striped Blenny (Meiacanthus grammistes) - is also referred to as Gammistes Blenny, Striped Fang Blenny, or Striped Poison-Fang Blenny. It has alternating black and yellow stripes that run the entire length of the body. The Striped Blenny diet consists of chopped crustaceans, vitamin-enriched brine shrimp, and frozen food preparations for herbivores. 

The Striped Fang Blenny is an attractic saltwater aquarium fish. It grows up to about 11 cm in size and is suitable for marine aquariums of 400 liters and more.halt. Its care is easy as long as the aquarium offers enough hiding places and a varied diet is provided.

Like all Fang Blennies, Meiacanthus grammistes has a venomous bite that causes pain comparable to a beesting. However, it is peaceful unless overly threatened.
