Gramma - Royal (Gramma loreto) The royal gramma (Gramma Loreto), also known as the fairy basslet, is a fish species in the Grammatidae family that is native to tropical western Atlantic Ocean reef environments. They are found in the aquarium, too. The Royal Gramma fish is a small, vibrantly colored fish from the Caribbean, also known as a Fairy Basslet or Gramma Loreto. Can be kept in aquariums as small as 50 liters if they are the only fish. If kept with other fish they are best kept in tanks of 100 liters or more. Best kept singly, as they often fight with their own kind. Cannot be kept in the same aquarium as Dottybacks. As with most small reef fish they may jump if startled, so a tight fitting lid without gaps is recommended.
